Tour of Southland

For over 20 years Macaulay Ford have been involved in sponsoring the SBS Tour of Southland. The Tour takes cyclists throughout Southland on a week-long road race. In addition to the lead car, in 2018 we celebrated a partnership with the Share the Road initiative as part of the Tour. This partnership went on to create a few iterations of what is now known as the Macaulay Ford - Goodtech team.
 

The Macaulay Ford - Goodtech team have included many local and international riders over the years, who are known for creating a fun and supportive team environment. Over the past five Tours the team have picked up numerous stage wins and jerseys, including taking out the Team Classification in the rescheduled 2025 SBS Tour of Southland (raced in January 2026).

The SBS Tour of Southland is an annual road biking race held in November that sees participants cycling throughout Southland as they compete to take out the championship.  Over the past 70 years the SBS Tour of Southland has evolved to become a world-renowned, popular event, attracting numerous national and international participants.
